In the world of broadcast, we have produced commissioned content and ad funded programming for broadcasters including RTE, TV3 and Sky.
JON SLATTERY – Managing Director
Jon set-up Trilogy Media in Ireland and the UK in 2003 having built a successful career in the broadcasting industry. Jon began his career in radio, becoming Head of Production at Radio Kerry at the tender age of 20. He subsequently moved to FM104 as Production Director before joining the senior management team that launched Ireland’s national radio station, Radio Ireland / Today FM. In 1998, Jon moved across the industry into television using his dulcet tones to full effect as an RTE continuity announcer. He then moved into producing, making his own music show, 2TV Classics. Next, the UK beckoned for Jon where he presented shows including Holiday, Country File for the BBC and a number of productions for ITV, SKY Travel and Discovery. Since setting up Trilogy Media, Jon has produced a range of travel and lifestyle TV shows, numerous TV commercials, and a host of corporate and online productions.
TOM RICHARDSON – Creative Director
Tom is an experienced television Director and Producer with over 200 broadcast credits to his name. After reading History at University and gaining a Post-graduate Diploma in Business Management, Tom went back to his roots and started his career as a landscape gardener in his native Worcestershire. After some time up to his knees in mud he moved to New York City for a new challenge that saw him take on a varied role at a multi-media & lifestyle company. There Tom combined practical roles such as project managing skyscraper garden designs and installations with office based responsibilities which included overseeing brand development and marketing operations.
Tom had his first taste of television at NBC's Rockefeller Plaza Studios where he wrote and produced a weekly live gardening segment on the ‘Today Show’. Assuming everyone in TV was provided with Green Room goody bags and a limo after every show, Tom returned to the UK to pursue a career in television.
Despite a lack of associated luxuries in the British industry, Tom quickly worked his way up the ladder, initially working in Birmingham and then London, and achieved his first Director credit at 28. Since then, Tom has directed and produced a number of successful returning series including Great British Railway Journeys, Escape to the Country & Terry & Mason’s Great Food Trip as well as developing his own original content such as ‘Railways of the Great War’, part of the BBC World War One centenary season, which he also Series Directed. He has extensive international experience, filming in over 30 countries for leading broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Sky, Discovery and TV3. Tom enjoys developing strong working relationships with leading talent of all shapes and sizes including Sir Terry Wogan, Gok Wan and Michael Portillo. He specialises in producing compelling factual programming across a wide range of subjects and genres, with a focus on history and travel. He has also amassed a broad portfolio of credits for corporate clients across a variety of industries.
Tom has worked closely with Trilogy Media over the past seven years and is very excited to be taking on a new role in the company as Creative Director. He is looking forward to developing and delivering engaging, high quality and informative original content to the corporate and broadcast sectors in both the UK and Ireland.
